Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Harshil Mukhba is being seen as a crucial step in promoting winter tourism in Uttarakhand. In anticipation state government and district administration have expedited the preparations, ensuring flawless arrangements during PM visit to these two places.
On Monday, Secretary to the Chief Minister and Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey along with Secretary Protocol Vinod Kumar Suman, IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop, and other senior officials, conducted a thorough inspection of the preparations from Harshil to Mukhba. District Magistrate Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht and Superintendent of Police Sarita Dobhal also accompanied them.
Garhwal Commissioner Pandey emphasized the need to adhere to security protocols and maintain high standards for the Prime Minister’s visit. He stressed that all arrangements, including PM Modi’s welcome, program schedule, and departure, should be seamless. The event will feature cultural programs to highlight the traditions and tourism of the region.
Discussions were also held on organizing the darshan-pujan at the Ganga temple in Mukhwa and broadcasting the event live via Doordarshan. Officials reviewed seating plans, traffic management, parking facilities, and sanitation measures at the Harshil venue. It was decided to expand the German hangar to accommodate more attendees.
IG Shri Rajiv Swaroop assessed security arrangements, ensuring smooth movement and controlled access at the venue. Superintendent of Police Mrs. Sarita Dobhal provided insights into security preparations.
Other officials, including SDM Bhatwadi Mukesh Chand Ramola and SDM Purola Gopal Singh Chauhan, were also present, working towards making this visit a grand success.
