As the battle for the Delhi Assembly elections intensifies, political rhetoric has reached a fever pitch. BJP leader and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has emerged as a key campaigner, sharply criticizing Delhi Ex Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on multiple fronts.
Known as “Dhaakad Dhami” for his tough stance on issues like implementing the Uniform Civil Code and cracking down on Love Jihad and rioters in Uttarakhand, Dhami addressed public meetings in Rithala, Dwarka, Matiala, and Laxminagar on Sunday. His fiery speeches took direct aim at Kejriwal’s governance and his promises to the people of Delhi.
Dhami accused Kejriwal of betraying the ideals of the Anna movement, pointing out that he had initially vowed not to enter politics but later used the movement as a stepping stone to power. He also reminded voters of Kejriwal’s pledge to forgo privileges and security, contrasting this with his current lifestyle in an official residence that Dhami referred to as a “palace.”
Raising questions about Kejriwal’s stance on national security, Dhami criticized him for opposing the surgical strikes conducted by the Indian army and the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir. As the son of a soldier, Dhami underscored the importance of supporting the army’s valor, asserting that Kejriwal’s remarks undermined their sacrifices.
CM Dhami further targeted Kejriwal over his unfulfilled promise to clean the Yamuna river, accusing him of misleading the public with lies. He urged Delhi voters to see through what he described as years of broken promises and deceptive politics.
With his aggressive campaigning, Dhami has brought new energy to the BJP’s push in Delhi. As the elections draw closer, the competition has become increasingly fierce, leaving voters to decide whose narrative resonates the most.
