Chamoli District Opens China Border for Tourism, Online Application for Permits

The Chamoli district administration has announced that tourists will be allowed to visit the India-China (Tibet) border area in Chamoli district Shortly. For this tourists will get online application facilities for permits. To streamline the process, the district administration has launched a dedicated website where visitors can apply for the Inner Line Permit from the comfort of their homes. The online application process will begin soon.

Tourists will now be able to visit various scenic locations along the border, including Ghastoli, Rattakona, Jagraon, Devtal, Mana Pass, Goting, Gyaldung, Ganesh Ganga, Kyulang, Niti Pass, Upper and Lower Rimkhim, and Parvati Kund. These areas, located near the India-China border, are rich in natural beauty and offer a unique experience for visitors.

This initiative is expected to boost tourism in the region while promoting awareness of the strategically significant areas along the border. The move also aligns with efforts to bring attention to the cultural and natural heritage of the region. With the online permit system, tourists can now easily access these picturesque locations, making the Chamoli district a new destination for adventure and sightseeing.
