Leopard, who became synonymous with terror, caught in Dehradun

Uttarakhand forest department team has finally succeeded in catching the Leopard, who had become synonymous with terror. After the arrest of Leopard, local residents and forest department officials heaved a sigh of relief. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given strict instructions to the Forest Department to catch the Leopard as soon as possible in view of its increasing attacks in the district.

It is noteworthy that about two months ago, the leopard had killed a four-year-old child from the courtyard of the house in Sigli village, picked it up and made it a morsel. Shortly after this, near Rispana river in Sondhowali area, the leopard attacked a child and seriously injured him. Just a few days ago, in Galjwadi village too, the leopard had attacked a 9-year-old child and made him his prey. There was anger among the area residents regarding this & they were demanding immediate capture of the killer leopard.

Continuous efforts were being made by the Forest Department to catch the troublesome leopard. In view of the increasing attacks of the leopard, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami had also instructed the Forest Department officials to catch it as soon as possible. Ranger Rakesh Negi in Mussoorie Forest Division said that leopard has been imprisoned in a cage installed in Kimadi village. He told that this leopard was being searched for a long time & the forest department team finally succeeded in tracking & capturing him.
