The passing out parade (POP) at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) will be held on December 7. As a reviewing officer, this may include Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Programs will begin on November 29.
The preparations for the Passing Out Parade held every six months at the IMA have begunin full flow. The academy administration is busy finalizing preparations for the POP to be held on December 7.
The IMA is one such military training institute from where the country gets the most experienced officers every six months. Allied cadets also train at the academy. Therefore, strict security arrangements have been made for the POP.
Army Chief, Air Force and Navy officers also expected.
While internal security will remain with the army, external security will remain in the hands of Doon Police. As a reviewing officer, POPs can include defense minister. He is also expected to be accompanied by Army Chief General Vipin Rawat, Air Force and Navy officers.
