Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat flagged off the public awareness rally of secretariat officials for the polythene-free Green Dehradun at the Secretariat, Dehradun on Friday. Chief Minister Trivendra said that there is a need of awareness to make polythene free India. He added that the 50 KM long human chain will be made on 05 November to spread awareness on plastic-free Dehradun. More than one lakh people will participate in this event.
The CM Trivendra said that a huge campaign of plantation will be run on 16 July, 2020 on the occasion of Harela festival throughout the state. There is a need of public awareness on environmental protection and sanitation. The campaign being run by the Municipal Corporation Dehradun for polythene-free Dehradun is getting very good results. Public support is necessary to make Dehradun polythene-free.
