Moderate quake hits Shimla

A moderate intensity earthquake with 3.1 magnitude shook Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district on Wednesday evening. There was no report of any casualty or damage to property, the meteorological department said. The quake’s epicentre was at a depth of 10 km northeast in Shimla, the department said, adding that tremors were felt in and around the district at 7.55 pm.
