The legislators have raised a large number of questions this time for the two-day session of the Uttarakhand assembly beginning on 24th June. Assembly Speaker Premchand Agarwal told reporters that till date 721 questions of the legislators have been received. He said that a lot of petitions have also been received.
Earlier, during the session, the Vice Chairperson arranged the meeting with the officials to take necessary instructions during the session. Vice President Agarwal informed that till date 109 marked questions have been received from the MLAs, 606 non marked questions and six minor inquiries have been received.
He also informed that according to the provision given by the Uttarakhand Legislative Rules Committee, only three petitions of a legislator will be accepted on each day of the session. Earlier, the Vice chancellor interacted with officials about the arrangements including security including security during the session. The Vice Chancellor hoped for cooperation from the officers, while asserting that cooperation in the session is mandatory in the same session as in previous sessions.
He said that no obstacle should be there in the session, for this, all the departments should prepare before the commencement of session. Apart from the meeting of the Assembly Secretary, Jagdish Chand and officials of various departments were present.
