Opp demands Lokayukta Act

On the last day of the winter session Leader of Opposition Indira Hridayesh has raised issue of Lokayukta under section 58 of vidhan sabha proceedings. She alleged that although BJP led Uttarakhand government is claiming that they have adopted zero tolerance on corruption but corruption is on its peak.

She further alleged that there is an immediate need to appoint lokayukta in the state. Even BJP had made one of the issue during assembly election-2017 and she had allowed the house to have lokayukta bill passed but they referred it to high power committee. Now they are sitting idle on the issue. In this circumstance it ascertains our believe that BJP does not want to weed out corruption from the state otherwise they would not have been delayed the issue.
