Upset with the 5-0 defeat in recently concluded assembly election, BJP led NDA regime has hiked the honorarium of Anganwadi workers on Thursday. This would be new year gift for them.
The honorarium being given to Anganwadi workers has been increased by about 25 per cent. Government order in this regard has been issued. This will benefit more than 35,000 Anganwadi workers, Anganbadi assistants and mini Anganwadi workers. Significantly, the highest honorarium in the country is given to Anganwadi workers in Uttarakhand.
Today, the Government order for giving the benefit of revised honorarium by center to Anganwadi workers has been issued in Uttarakhand. According to this, now Anganwadi workers will get Rs 7500, Anganwadi assistants will get Rs. 3750 and mini Anganwadi workers will get Rs. 4750 per month.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has been pursuing for the increase in honorarium of Anganwadi workers with centre. Government order has been issued on the instructions of the Chief Minister to give benefits to the Anganwadi workers for the honorarium revised by the Center.
