The gallant soldier of village Badena (Bungli) of Tehsil Gangolihat of Pithoragarh, Rajendra Singh Bungla, who was posted in TA Jat battalion, Jammu & Kashmir, was martyred in an terrorist encounter. The mortal remains of Late Rajendra Bungla were brought to Pithoragarh army headquarters on Saturday by an army aircraft, where the Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat, army and administrative officials paid tributes by laying a wreath on his mortal remains. The Army gave the Guard of the honour to the martyr.
Chief Minister while paying tributes to the martyr Rajendra Singh Bungla said that martyr, who laid his life for the country, will always be remembered. He said that the state government is with the families of the martyrs and every possible help would be extended by the state government. He said that our soldiers and our army are always ready to protect the country.
