Snowfall in the hills brings down temperature across Uttarakhand

The mood of the weather in Uttarakhand is very different. Snow is falling on high peaks. At the same time, in the plains, bright sunlight is blooming during the day. In the evenings, the temperature decreases and it becomes quite cold.

Thursday afternoon, Badrinath continued to be under cloud cover and in the evening, light snowfall in the entire region decreased the mercury level. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature broke eight years old recrod in Doon. The minimum temperature was recorded at 11.1 degree Celsius, three degrees below normal.

However, on Thursday there was a slight decrease. The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 28.8 degree Celsius and minimum temperature was recorded at 11.3 degree Celsius, two notches below normal.

According to Bikram Singh, director of Meteorological Center Dehradun, the all-time record minimum temperature was 8.4 degree Celsius, which was on 24 October 1984. He said that there is a great difference in day and night temperature. There has been some improvement in the minimum temperature on Thursday.
