World’s famous Kedarnath temple will be closed for the winter on 9th November at 8:30AM on the occasion of Bhaiyadooj festival. However, the date of closure of Second Kedar Madhyameshwar and third Kedar Tungnath Dham will be fixed on October 19 at the Vijayshashtami festival. With this, Shri Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has started preparations in Omkareshwar Dham located at Ukhimath.
At Kedarnath, on November 9, at four o’clock in the morning, there will be a Samadhi worship and after the closure of the main door at 8:30 AM, Baba’s festival Doli will depart for his winter migration Omkareshwar temple. At the same time, according to the Panchang calculation the date of closure of the kapat of second and third Kedar will be fixed on October 19. NP Jamloki, executive officer of the temple committee said that for this, the temple committee employees have gathered in preparations.
Hemkund Sahib and Lokpal Laxman closed for the winter season
Hemkund Sahib, the fifth dham of the Himalayas and the portals of the Lokpal Lakshman Temple were closed for the winter on October 10 at 1.30 pm. More than seven thousand pilgrims participated in Hemkund gurudwara and took part in the last prayer for the 2018 winter season. Almost the same pilgrims also visited the Lokpal.
