Fortnight long Army’s bi-cylce rally begins

A team of an Officer, one Junior Commissioned Officer and eight other ranks of The Kumaon Regimental Centre, Ranikhet was flagged off from Ranikhet on Saturday by Brig Govind Singh Rathore, Commandant, The Kumaon Regimental Centre.

The bi-cycle rally is an endeavour to represent the areas of India from where the soldiers of The Kumaon Regiment hail. The rally commenced from Ranikhet and will traverse through the districts of Almora, Nainital, Haldwani, Rudrapur, Muradabad, Amroha, Meerut, Faridabad and will finally reach Delhi on 27 Oct 2018.  The team members shall interact and reconnect with ex-servicemen including war veterans of these areas during their journey.

The rally team will on conclusion, join with others teams from Delhi on  Oct 27 to commemorate the martyrs of 1947-48 Indo-Pak war. The flagging in will be done by Chief of the Army Staff.
