Almora Mahotsav begins

Three days long Almora Mahotsav Almora started with the cycle rally today morning. DM Nitin Singh Bhadauria and CDO Mayur Dixit participated in this cycle rally by themselves riding a bicycle. Several people participated in the rally that went through Mall Road to Pandhekhola-Lower Mall road and concluded at the Tourist Office. From Chaighanpata, the District Magistrate flagged off to the Women Bikers Rally and Heritage Walk. The Bikers rally will go to Almora-Marchula and Dhaulcheena-Jageshwar before coming back to Almora. Various places were visited in Heritage Walk organized by the almora Heritage Society.

Apart from this, a cultural rally was also organized by the students and local people through the Nandadevi temple premises, which went to the main event venue at the Government Inter College. In the series of programmes, cultural programmes were organized in the GGIC main function venue and Ramje Inter College, in which local artists presented a programme. In this programme, various cultural programmes were presented by Hemadri Nat, Sharda Public School, Mangaldeep Sanstha, Lok Chetna Vikas Samiti, Kumarchal Academy, Solo Song by Agran Tiwari, Rahul Abhishek, GGIC Daniya, Lata Pandey and Party.

In the series of the Mahotsav events, a lot of people participated in the Hot Air Balloon in the local stadium, where many people enjoyed the hot air balloon. In activities of water sports in Kosi Barrage, people participated in water rollers, water zorbing, kayaking etc. Adventure tourism activities were also organized in Kalimath in Kasaradivi area, in which District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadauria, Chief Development Officer Mayur Dixit and many people participated in rock climbing, zip line, flying fox and zoomaring.

On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate KS Toliya, Deputy Magistrate Vivek Rai, Disaster Management Officer Rakesh Joshi, Tourism Development Officer Rahul Chaube, Chief Agriculture Officer Priyanka Singh and other people participated in the program. As a part of Mahotsav, cultural programs are being organized in district headquarter and Ranikhet and Jageshwar as well. Yoga practice was also organized at Jageshwar in the series of Almora programmes.
