A day after governor Baby Rani Maurya’s surprise visit to Nari Niketan, dainiknation tries to enquire about the status of Nari Niketan and found that inmates were admitted to the doon hospital because of vomiting. Now state runs shelter home inmates are recovering. As per the information they were admitted into the Doon hospital on Sunday because they were vomiting. This was confirmed by the District Probation Officer Meena Bisht on Tuesday. As we know that on the occasion of Janmashtami Governor Baby Rani Maurya made surprise visit there and offered sweets among them. Even she interacted with them as if she wanted to know about the exact casue of inmates hospitalisation
Bisht further said that she had personally visited Nari Niketan this morning and found that three inmates are down with a viral fever. Four inmates suffering from high fever were admitted at the hospital.
The three who are down with fever would be shifted to the hospital soon for better medical treatment. Our team regularly visits the home and inspects the food and other things.
Replying to the query about the environment of the Nari Niketan against the backdrop of problems surfacing at regular intervals, she said that people keep exaggerting the things. For instance, viral fever is common enough. It can happen to anyone. The same happened at the home. This is quite normal. The supervisor there is alert. There are 117 inmates living in the home. Just a few of them have been taken ill.”
She would prepare final report of her inspection shortly and would submit to the CMO for department concerned.
