The Toppers’ Conclave will be held this year also at Raj Bhawan from August 6 to 10 , according to secretary to the Governor, Ravinath Raman. The conclave will be addressed on the inaugural day by ISRO scientist Padmashree Prof AS Kiran Kumar while Padma Vibhushan Prof. JV Narlikar of Inter University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics will address the closing session on August 10.
Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will participate in the opening and closing ceremonies.
It may be mentioned here that since the year 2015, the Toppers’ Conclave is being held every year on the initiative of Governor Dr KK Paul. Toppers from every state university of Uttarakhand are invited to the five-day event. They are honoured and get an opportunity to hear expert speakers. Teachers, Vice Chancellors and guest speakers are present at the conclave.
Present at the various sessions of the conclave will be chairman of State Public Service Commission Maj . Gen (Retd) AS Rawat, Dr Anil Joshi of HESCO, FRI Director Dr. Savita, UCOST DG Dr Rajendra Dobhal, Dr Durgesh Pant and many other experts who will address the conclave.
