IG Anant Ram Chauhan, Crime and Research Division of Uttarakhand Police, has retired today. In his his honour Uttarakhand Police had organised a farewell function at police headquarter on Friday. In which DGP Anil K Raturi has given a memento to him.
Speakers appreciated the works done by the IG Chouhan during his service tenure and expressed hope that other serving police will be benefited with his experience in future too. Chauhan expressed thanks to their seniors and juniors too for their unhindered support. He said that without their support he would not have achieved his past challenges. He also said that juniors make their successful because senior give guidance but ultimate implementation made by the juniors only. Later DGP gave a memento to him.
Chauhan had been inducted into police through Provincial Police Service (PPS) in the year 1989 in Uttar Pradesh. He had served Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Bijnore districts of Uttar Prdesh and Nainital and Dehradun districts of Uttarakhand. In 2005 he was promoted to the Indian Police Service (IPS). As a SP he served Uttarkashi and Chamoli district and later he served as SSP Nainital. In 2014 he was elevated as DIG Crime & Research Wingh and served in both division i.e. Kumaon and Garhwal. In 2018 he was elevated to the post of Inspector General. Even he had been decorated with Police Medal in the year 2011. The medal is being given for the supreme service to the police personnel.
The function was attended by DGP Anil k Raturi, ADGP Crime & Law and Order Ashok Kumar, ADGP Intelligence & Security V Vinay Kumar, ADGP Administration Ram Singh Meena, IG Jail PVK Prasad, IG P/M Sanjay K Gunjyal, IG PAC Anshuman, IG PHQ GS Martolia and other senior officers.
