On the occasion of 72nd Independence Day, Director General Information Deependra Kumar Chaudhari unfurled the national flag at Information Directorate, here today. Remembering the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, he said that independence was achieved after a great struggle. He said that there was a lesson to be learnt from the struggle of independence which was achieved by the sacrifices of numerous freedom fighters and political leaders that we have to live in cooperation and love to fulfill our duties and responsibilities towards the development of the state and the country.

 He said that history is witness to the fact that due to international infighting and non-cooperation with each other, the Britishers who first came as traders ruled us for so long. He further said that to preserve the unity of the country we have to take pledge to be ever ready to serve the interest of the country and this would be the true service to the nation on this occasion.

Additional Director Dr Anil Chandola, Joint Directors Rajesh Kumar, Asish Tripathi, Deputy Director KS Chauhan, Assistant Director Ravi Bijraniya, Officer on Special Duty MP Kailkhuri and other officers and employees were present on the occasion .
