The students should also keep themselves away from the substance abuse, said the director general (DG) Information Deependra Chaudhary while addressing students of Fusion institute of hotel management, Dehradun on Monday. Later he distributed certificates to the students. Chaudhary also met the students of different districts who were receiving training under skill development programme of Uttarakhand Grammya Vikas Samiti (Rural Development Committee).
He told them that both Union and State Governments are running many programmes to encourage self-employment. Its objective is check migration and reduce dependence on jobs. Many youths have become self-employed and later they have provided jobs to others by starting projects in mushroom plantation, bee-keeping, horticulture and hospitality. The youths can start their own business by taking loan under the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali scheme, he suggested while addressing the students.
