The government doctors have been putting undue pressure on the government to bring changes in the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) and are planning to boycott OPD on Friday in case their demand is not met.
The DACP, a promotion scheme for doctors that allows promotion after four, nine, 13 and 20 years of service under way in the state, comes with a rider of compulsory hilly area service which has earned the ire of the doctors who are falling short of the service criteria.

with a hope that the doctors would be motivated to take up hilly area service uttarakhand government had implemented the DACP where 38 per cent of the population of the state resides. However, the doctors are now pressing for unconditional implementation of the DACP.
“We are negotiation with the government on this issue. In case it is not implemented we will resort to complete OPD boycott on Friday,” said Dr DS Chauhan, secretary, Provincial Medical and Health Services (PMHS)
