Varsha yoga in case of rain on June 21

In the case of rain, there will be ‘Varsha Yoga’. However, according to the Meteorological Department, the chances of rain are less. Nevertheless, participants have been told that due to rain, yoga practice will not be interrupted. With ‘Varsha Yoga’, the interest will further increase. Along with the yoga mats, shoe bags and water proof mobile pouches will be arranged.

While finalizing the preparations for yoga practice in the secretariat on Saturday, it was decided that in case of rain, the yoga practice will continue. After 5 am on June 21, no one will be allowed to enter in the FRI. Online registration has been stopped due to the number of registered participants already crossing 50 thousand. All preparations were finalized in the meeting of the high level committee set up for International Yoga Day, under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh.

Secretary Ayush RK Sudhanshu said that the compactor machine will be installed for immediate disposal of the garbage wastes. There will be enough personnel to collect the garbage and for maintaining cleanliness. Fool-proof arrangements have been made for electricity, water, health services, security etc. Rehearsal will be done at the programme venue on June 18 and 19. It is mandatory for all the group leaders to attend it. 1000 buses will be there in the Rangers Ground. From here to Haridwar, Rishikesh and other routes buses will be sent to bring the participants. Route chart and a list has been prepared that which participant will come in which bus.

Secretary, Ayush Minister, Union Government Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha appreciated the preparations made by the state government. He said that he had not seen in other states such a registration process and other systematic preparations.

DGP Anil Kumar Raturi, Secretary School Education Dr. Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, Secretary Tourism Dilip Javalkar, Secretary Protocol Harbans Singh Chugh, VC MDDA  Ashish Shrivastav, Municipal Commissioner Vijay Jogdande, Director ITDA Amit Sinha, Additional Director Information Anil Chandola and other officials were present in the meeting.
