New India to be made by 2022

On the occasion of the completion of the four years of the PM Narendra Modi led union government, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat attended a programme of the beneficiaries of the central schemes in Vikasnagar, Dehradun on Thursday. CM laid the foundation stone and also inaugurated various schemes worth Rs 26.70 crores.

In his address Chief Minister said that the target to build a ‘New India’ by year 2022 set by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which everyone will get facility of own house, toilet and pure drinking water. Every house has electricity and everyone has a electricity connection. In this direction, in these four years, strong steps have been taken. Under the ‘Ujjwala Yojana’, women from poor families are being provided free of cost LPG connections. On the appeal of the Prime Minister, as many as 2 crore people in the country have given-up LPG subsidy. From this money, poor are being given free of cost LPG connections.

People who do not fulfil this eligibility but if their annual income is less than Rs 2.5 lakhs, then the state government is providing free of cost LPG connections to them as well. Under PMs ‘Ayushman Bharat’ Scheme, 5.38 lakh families in Uttarakhand would be benefitted. While expanding the scheme, the State government has decided to bring 20 lakh families under the ‘Ayushman Bharat Ayushman Uttarakhand’. From coming August 15, 2018, this scheme would be launched. Under the Prime Minister ‘Awas Yojana’, more than 1 lakh families would be provided affordable accommodation by year 2021.

Chief Minister said that under the ‘Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana’, all the villages in the state have been electrified. Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, Uttarakhand has become the fourth ODF state in the country and in the urban areas, all the city civic bodies have declared as ODF.  In order to complete the target set by the Prime Minister to double the farmers income by year 2020, the state government has taken concrete steps. Under the ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana’, loan upto Rs 1 lakh is being disbursed at mere interest rate of 02 per cent. He said that if we get the desired results of the scheme, then it would be expanded. In order to provide the students an opportunity to have a uniform education syllabus, NCERT books have been started in the state.

MLA Munna Singh Chauhan said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the union government has started various public welfare schemes for all sections of the society. The schemes have been formulated keeping in view the interests of the poor, farmers, divyangs, women, elderly people and others. Every section of the society is being benefited with various schemes like ‘Ujjawala Yojana’ for providing LPG connections to poor, ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme for health facilities to everyone, ‘Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana’, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ and ‘Mudra Loan Yojana’.

In the Vikasnagar Vidhan Sabha, beneficiaries from the central schemes are under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ 230 (Personal Toilet), 1701 houses under Prime Minister ‘Awas Yojana’ (From year 2016 to 2018), 55 under ‘Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana’, 816 groups under ‘National  Livelihood’ Scheme, 12707 LPG connections under ‘Ujjawala Yojana’ and 586 electricity connections have been given under ‘Saubhagya Yojana’.

On this occasion, BJP Dehradun District President Shamsher Singh Pundir, Senior BJP leader Vinay Rohela, former MLA Kuldeep Kumar and local public representatives were present.
