CS expresses displeasure over delay in ESIC hospital

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh has expressed his displeasure at the delay in the construction of hospitals at Haridwar and Selaqui. Heera Singh, Assistant Director of Employees State Insurance Corporation ( ESIC) and incharge, Uttarakhand who was present in the meeting was asked to start the work on these hospitals soon so that workers employed in private factories in Haridwar and Selaqui areas could get health facilities.

It was informed in the meeting that a 100 bedded hospital will be ready at Rudrapur by December 2018. Chief Secretary informed Director General of ESIC Raj Kumar on telephone that state government has allotted land for hospital to ESIC but the executive agency has not allotted the work despite several years. He requested that the work should be expedited so that the employees working in private sector could also get health benefits.  Secretary Harbans Singh Chugh and other officials were present in the meeting.
