Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat of ill-treating the headmistress of a primary school and burnt effigies of the BJP government in the state on Saturday. Meanwhile suspended teacher Uttara Pant Bahuguna said that she would approach court.

The CM has ordered her suspension after she reportedly created a ruckus for her transfer during the Janata Durbar. The CM’s spat with the headmistress during a Janata Darbar programme in Dehradun a few days back has caught the media attention and gave the Congress the much-needed ammunition to launch an attack against the state government.

They staged protest in Dehradun where the Congress workers gathered at the Ashley Hall chowk and burnt an effigy of the state government. They alleged that while genuine teachers were suffering, the near and dear ones of ruling party leaders were being transferred to their favourite places.
They demanded immediate rollback of her suspension orders .
