Uttarakhand BJP President Ajay Bhatt hs outrightly rejected opposition allegation that the BJP was trying to delay urban local bodies elections and said that his party would abide by the high court decision on holding the urban local bodies elections.
“Can anyone go against the high court ? As soon as the court gives us the directions the elections would be held,” said Bhatt, while replying to a question posed by the media regarding the allegations leveled by the Congress that the BJP was delaying the elections.
Bhatt was speaking in the backdrop a function held to mark the party’s 38th Foundation Day at the party headquarters. He expressed thanks to the people of the state and the party workers for giving a huge mandate to the BJP in the Assembly election-2017. The government under Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat is committed to ushering in a transparent and corruption-free government,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Deputy Prime Minister and senior party leader Lal Krishna Advani along with his kids were on a private visit to Rishikesh. During his private visit, Advani visited the Parmarth Niketan and said that his wife was attached to the ashram and was fond of coming here.
