A laser show, dedicated to Lord Shiva Adi Anant Shiv and prepared by the Akshar Group of Companies, will delight one and all at the opening ceremony in Kedarnath on April 29, when the portals of the temple will be thrown open to the public. This was disclosed by the Secretary Tourism Dilip Jawalkar.
Jawalkar said the 25-minute laser show will be performed on the western wall of the temple. “It will be shown between April 29 and May 4 to the pilgrims. The company has arranged funds on its own through the CSR initiative and the state government will not be making any payment to the company”.
Around 18,000 pilgrims have turned up for the Kedarnath yatra and more are in the offing. So far 16,991 pilgrims had visited the Gangotri and Yamnotri shrines.
Soon, the government will launch a mobile application to provide information to the tourists. The app will also help in strengthening the security arrangements.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Harish Rawat has criticised the BJP government for going against the religious rules. He alleges that this will disturb the peace of the kedarnath which is sensitive.
