Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat called upon Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Sunday. He held talks with the Union Minister on the issues of opening of an additional training and recruitment centre of para-military force in the state.
Chief Minister Rawat said that majority of people from Uttarakhand are in armed services and youth of the state prefer to serve the country. He said that with the opening of an additional training and recruitment centre of para-military force, the youth of the state will get better opportunities to join para-military forces.
He also held consultation with the Union Home Minister regarding schemes being run under Border Area Development Project (BADP). The CM felt that with the implementation of these schemes, development will be faster in borders areas that in turn will help check the problem of migration from those areas. The CM also held talks on other issues related with the state.
