Anning Morang wins All India Golf Championship

Anning Morang of SelaQui International School won the 3rd All India Golf Championship under 18 years age category conducted at the SelaQui Golf course. Harsh Pegwal of Sri Guru Nanak public School was the runner up. In the under 10 year’s category, Samridhi Thakur of St. Patrick School won the event. Dhruv Kesar of Shriram School was the runner up.

In his address, Headmaster, Sharfuddin said that SelaQui is the only school in the country that conducts regular golf tournament for children. Recently, School has joined hands with Amandeep Johl Academy  to start an academy in school that will be open to other schools in Dehradun as well as general public.

An avid golfer RP Devgan felicitated the winners and said that tournaments such as this will go a long way in promoting golf in country. More than 45 students from 12 school participated in the two day long tournament.

In the fourth Invitation all India Tennis Championship held at SelaQui International School, Mankirat Singh won the Boy’s Singles category and in doubles Sagar Malik and Hooda of MNSS –RAI won the prize money of 15000/.  In Girls’ category, Balistha of MNSS- RAI won the Singles and Nandini and Varishka of pathways won the doubles. All winners were awarded 15000/ prize money.
