Brace up for a hot summer: MeT Department predicts record breaking temperatures

In what could labelled as effect of global warming that compared to the previous 50 years, from March to May this year temperatures will be more than 1 degree Celsius. According to the weather department’s report, the summer temperature across the entire country is expected to be very high, but in these months, the maximum heat wave in North India is estimated. With Delhi, the neighboring states will also be hit by the heat. Record breaking temperatures in Delhi has are also being expected. Not only this, in the southern states, the relatively high temperature will be more than half degree.

According to the Meteorological Department, the national capital of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan can remain above normal with a temperature of 1.5 degree Celsius, while in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, the hill states could be above normal by 2.3 degree Celsius.

It is said in the estimation of the department that temperature in Delhi can be more disturbing. In some areas of Delhi and Haryana, the temperature is expected to be 1.8 degrees Celsius above normal. Temperature can reach its maximum level between March, April and May in the ‘heat wave zone’.
