Security of live martyr withdrawn

The Centre has withdrawn the security cover provided to nine Congress MLAs, who had walkout from treasury bench while house was passing state budget-2016-17 during Harish Rawat led Congress regime on March 18, 2016 and later joined the BJP. However, Kunwar Pranav Champion, BJP MLA from Khanpur, will continue to be under the Central security cover. this has raised eyebrow of everyone because recently Champion had met BJP national president Amit Shah to apprise his grievance. Later state BJP has issued show cause notice to him.

When 10 Congress MLAs had rebelled against the Congress government in 2016, they had sought security cover which was readily provided by the Narendra Modi led NDA regime. Later they said that they are the live martyr because despite knowing the fact that they would lose their membership they boycotted the treasury bench while budget was being passed on March 18, 2016.

Later, these MLAs i.e. Harak Singh Rawat, Ex CM Vijay Bahuguna, Subodh Uniyal, Umesh Sharma Kau, Shaila Rani Rawat, Rekha Arya, Pradeep Batra, Amrita Rawat, Dr Shailender Mohan Singhal and Pranav Kumar Champion had joined BJP. Rekha Arya had boycotted treasury bench when house was facing voting on the direction of supreme court. During Assembly election-2017 these MLAs excluding Ex CM bahuguna and Amrita Rawat. Although Bahuguna’s son saurabh Bahuguna was given ticket from Sitarganj while Amrita Rawat’s husband & Ex MP Satpal Maharaj was given ticket from Pauri district.

In which two i.e. Harak Singh Rawat and Subodh Uniyal are cabinet minsiter while Rekha Arya is minister of state.
