Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat laid foundation of Dr Nityanand Himaliyan Research and Study Center in Doon University Dehradun on Friday. The Research and Study center worth Rs 15 crore on the 0.39 hectare land will be constructed by Bridcul.
In his address Chief Minister said that Himaliya has been attraction of center since a long time. Scientists and saints have seen Himaliya with different perspectives. Geologists, scientists, environmentalists and geographers have done research on Himaliya and related areas. But more studies need on Himaliya considering the changing environment. The researches will be conducted in this center named after Dr Nityanand will prove mile stone for the sustainable development of Himaliya.
CM stressed on education, health and employment to check the migration. All the 670 Nayay Panchayat will be developed as growth centers in the State. New townships will be developed in these Nayay Panchayat which will be centers of our economic growth. Local products will be connected with economy to develop these townships.
State Government was working on 13 Districts-13 New Destinations. Rail, air and all weather road connectivity will boost up the tourism in the State. He asked for the suggestions from people to implement the schemes effectively in the state. Himaliyan Science Festival-2018 will be held by Vigan Bharti from 3rd May to 6th May in ONGC complex Dehradun.
