He further informed that the State Government will organise the international Yoga and cultural festival at Rishikesh from March 1 to 7 in which Yoga experts and spiritual personalities from across India and abroad will conduct sessions for participants. He said that members of The Beatles had also visited Rishikesh and practiced Yoga decades ago. To commemorate 50 years of The Beatles’ visit to Rishikesh, the Government will also organise a three-day Beatles festival during the same period. The Beatles festival will be held on three evenings in the same period as the Yoga festival though the schedule will be announced on February 16.

He said that considering the popularity of The Beatles even decades after their heydays, a large number of their fans from abroad are also expected to arrive in Rishikesh for The Beatles festival.
