In a bid to suppress the Mission Aakrosh two cops, who had allegedly expressed their view on social media, have been suspended. They claimed that more such suspension order would come if they do so. Although they have written letter the chief minister Trivendra singh Rawat twice i.e. in September and November. In which they have appealed to fulfill their demand by January 5.

Two of the dissenters have been suspended on Thursday and more would face the same if the personnel in uniform continue to articulate resentment through the social networking sites while flouting the norm of discipline in the force, said a senior police officer soon after the suspension move.

Their demands are–hike in grade pay and allowances, allowance against gazetted holiday, full salary during training, giving cash against leave, special allowances for civil and armed police forces and hike in nutrition allowances etc.

Ironically, few years ago similar things happened in the force known as ‘Mission Akrosh’ whose aftermath saw termination of two and suspension of three.

Sources said that things are becoming difficult for the top brass as many in the force are empathising clandestinely with those continuing with the networking site fight against the nonchalance of the department regarding their long- pending demands.

Meanwhile senior police officer has outrightly rejected such apprehension but said that their demand seem genuine. Is  not it?  Meanwhile, senior cops were seen under stress and directed the district police chief to ensure discipline to be maintained at any cost.
