In a bid to give filip to the tourism state government is going to organise internation yoga day in between March 1-7 this year. Even state to organise music composer Beatles, who had come to uttarakhand 50 years ago and stayed here by practising yoga, during this period. This was disclosed by the state tourism minister Satpal Maharaj while interacting with media at IIHM, Dehradun on January 8.
He said that our objective is to attract more and more people to uttarakhand so we have decided to celebrate beatles culture programme too. As yoga would be practiced during day time and culture celebration would happen in evening. Although he did not disclose exact date beetle celebration. he assured that once date would finalise then he would inform to the media.
As far as international skiing championship, which is schedule to happen in Auli, Maharaj said that the date is being finalise by their association. Meanwhile we are busy in preparation of skiing route. in view of less snowfall we have been running artificial snow manufacturing machine and working there. Although weather is not supporting so we could not utilise the machine 24*7.
