If you think that hospital to treat you then you are wrong because a person has allegedly committed suicide because he could not pay the hospital bill. This incident has happened in uttarakhand which is also known as Devbhoomi.
Deceased has been identified as Manish Joshi, who was working in factory, had admitted his wife for delivery in a private hospital in Jwalapur, Haridwar. He was blessed with a girl child on December 1. He was happy and he had distributed sweets among his friends but his happiness lost when he was told to pay Rs 50000 hospital bill before getting discharge his wife and newborn baby.
He had tried his best to arrange money to pay the bill but could not succeed. His wife was supposed to get discharge on December 4 but he failed to pay bill. Getting tense with his financial condition he opted to commit suicide.
Meanwhile his relative paid the hospital’s bill and brought his wife and newborn baby to his house. As they reached to the house then they found that he was lying dead. Police station in-charge Aishwarya Pal said that due to financial strain Manish was running depressed and later he committed suicide. His brother in law Vinod Khanduri said that he committed suicide because of inflated medical bill. This has raised question mark that do we really live in welfare state?
