Two dead as JCB falls into gorge in Uttarkashi

Two laborers aboard a JCB died after the vehicle fell in a gorge near Dharasu in Uttarkashi district. Both of them were employed by a contractor, who were heading towards Chinyalisaur for road construction work.

The accident occurred at around 7:30 in the morning. Two laborers taking JCB from the camp of contractor Devraj Thakur, created in Brahmkhal, were going to Chinyalisaur. The driver lost control near Dharasu and JCB went deep into the ditch.

Police and locals pulled out the dead from the ditch by running a rescue operation. The deceased were identified as Ajay Kumar son of Ashok resident of Nagina district Bijnor and Sajan resident of Begumpur.
