State level Volleyball Youth Championships will be held from Dec. 18 to 20 December and the Junior Volleyball Championship on 30 and 31 December at Vikas Nagar, Dehradun. For the two events, the team of Nainital district will have a trial in Hiranagar Police Yoga Park on December 10.
On Thursday, the meeting of the Nainital Volleyball Association headed by District President Paramjit Singh Santi discussed preparations for the event. Participants born on or after January 1, 1997 are eligible for youth championship while for and junior championships players born after January 2000 may join the trials. Treasurer Mohammed Shoaib, Lalit Singh Chufal, Mohan Singh Koranga, Narendra Pandey, Raghuvir Singh Bangari, Deepak Matiyali, JS Lakhde, Hitendra Bisht, AK Upadhyay etc. were present in the meeting.
