Light rain/snow may happen at isolated places especially in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand from Monday for the next three days. State Meteorological Centre Director Bikram Singh said that snowfall is likely to occur at places at altitude of 3500 metres and above.
This would happen due to western disturbances. Moreover, intermittent spells of sunny weather and cloudy sky were witnessed at many places in the state with people feeling the winter chill especially during the morning and evening hours on Sunday. Being the weekend, many people preferred to remain indoors.
Due to rainfall with light snow at isolated places in the state, the maximum temperature is expected to dip by a few degrees Celsius while minimum temperature would remain around the normal in the next few days, Singh said, adding the minimum temperature is expected to dip by a few degrees Celsius after December 8.
The weather forecast for U’khand on Monday is partly to generally cloudy sky with very light to light rain/snow likely to occur at isolated places especially in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand. Snowfall is likely to occur at places at altitude of 3500 metres and above. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Monday is partly to generally cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 22 degree Celsius and 8 degree Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
