Residents of the Kewal Vihar area of Raiwala, Dehradun received a rude shock after a leopard entered the residential colony. As per the eyewitness, the incident reported on Tuesday evening, after a leopard strayed into a house in the colony on Shastrabudhe Road and stayed there for over six hours. A video shows him jumping into the house and, a few seconds later, a panicked homeowner running out.
Panic also ensues among other residents of the colony after they came to know about the incident. Dainik nation has the video shows them running away from the house.
According to residents, they had informed to the forest department. They reached the spot to rescue the animal waited for hours for a veterinarian from Rajaji Tiger Reserve to arrive because they were not trained about how to tranquilise the leopard. Ironically available forester of Dehradun and Mussoorie are not trained for this work. Meanwhile the leopard ran away just minutes before the vet was about to tranquillise it.
