Pm kaushal vikas yojna-2 launched in UK today

The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has launched the ambitious Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana 2.0 of the Government of India by distributing tool-kits to the trainees, at IRDT Auditorium,  Dehradun today. With this Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to operate first training center under state component. In his address CM said that skill development was required in every field. One lakh youths will be trained. Planners and untrained unemployed youth, everyone needs it. He said that the trainers related to ITI and other institutions must be updated.

The CM Rawat said that 2 residential skill development center to be operated with the help of Tata Trust in Chamoli and Pithoragarh. Training of disaster management and hospitality will also be given in these centers. Skill Development Ministry has also been started in the state. He said that human resources of Uttarakhand were excellent.

Training and Skill Development Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat said that the youth are being motivated through skill development. Framework is available for skill development in Uttarakhand at block level.

During the program, MoU has been signed between Skill Development Mission, Uttarakhand and Domestic Worker Skill Council for the quality enhancement of skill development. Director UKSDM, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey informed that the scheme is being implemented by the Uttarakhand Kaushal Vikas Mission in the state. Under this scheme, a target has been set to provide training to 44000 youths in next 3 years and in the year 2017-18, 13200 youths will be trained. The first training center of the state under the State Component has been approved in Dobhalwala, Raipur, Dehradun. This center is being operated by the Skillpro Technologies Pvt. Ltd. 60 youths are being trained in the field of Field Technician- Computing and Peripheral in this center. In the year 2016-17, training has been provided to 12963 youths in 32 different fields through 120 trainers. For effective implementation of the scheme, 44 trainers have been identified by Mission.
