Strange but true, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra would be costly affairs by next year.
To make yatra more comfortable Kumoan Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN), which organise yatra on the direction of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), is planning to install solar power geyser and solar light so that pigrims would get unhindered hot water supply and lights during night. In this regard Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam has sent a proposal to MEA for the installation of solar power based geyser and light on way to Kailash Mansarovar yatra.
As we know that there is no arrangement of electricity at halts on way to Mansarovar yatra. Although huts are being constructed and will complete by next year. with this completion labour and mule owner would get accommodation during night stay. Recently KMVN officials held a meeting with MEA officials and they have given positive assurance. In view of this KMVN GM TS Martolia said that next year’s yatra would be more comfortable than now.
Meanwhile MEA has categorically asked the PWD official to repair the track route by April 2018 and excuse would not be accepted. As we know that Kailash Mansarovar yatra to begin by June 2018. Ironically, MEA gives their recommendation for Kailash Mansarovar yatra and pilgrims route, food and accommodation arrangement being made by the KMVN.
In view of better arrangement KMVN has also put a proposal for hike in their fare. Currently KMVN collects Rs 35000 per pilgrims and they would collect more money from pilgrim by next year. As per the proposed tariff KMVN would charge Rs 48000 per pilgrims. Although MEA has not approved their proposal but one thing clear that charges would be more than now by next year.
Although officials could not prepare road between Narayan ram Asharam to Lipulekh so pilgrims will have to go on foot. Even Garbyang to Gunji road yet to be constructed. Although construction work is going on but it will take time. Pilgrims will come from Delhi to Narayan ashram by road and then they will have to travel on foot.
