Govt to set up two training centre in UK

To provide training for recruitment tests of armed forces state Government will set up two training centers in Kumaun and Garhwal division. this was decided during the meeting between Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Maj Gen VPS Bhakuni commandant of Bangalore Selection Center of Army on Monday at CM House.

Maj Gen Bhakuni made presentation before the CM and told that of success rate of NDA and CDS examinations is less than IAS examinations. For increasing the selection percentage for the post of officers in armed forces, youths of the State needed proper training. Personality development program and interview training program will benefit the youths. CM Rawat said that brave land Uttarakhand is soldier populated State and youths here naturally inclined to join army to serve the nation. Necessary information and training will be beneficial in this context.

It was decided during the meeting that training workshops will be conducted in the premises of schools and colleges having adequate infrastructural facilities. These workshops will be held for 2 to 3 weeks. Training will be provided for personality development, interview and other physical tests in these workshops. Soldier Welfare Department and Education Department will select the buildings of school and college as permanent centers. Further, State Government will consider to open the permanent/ army schools for the students of 11th and 12th classes.
