In a bid to assess the ground situation at indo china border Lt Gen BS Negi, Army Commander, Central Command today visited the forward Areas of Pithoragarh and Gunji. The General Officer along with the Formation Commander carried out aerial operational reconnaissance of the forward Areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
The Army Commander took first hand account of the operational matters and deployment of troops in the remote areas under extremely harsh and difficult conditions. He expressed satisfaction and appreciated the preparedness level of the formation and units in their Areas of Responsibility.
