Dehradun senior superintendent of police Sweety Aggarwal said on Wednesday that 24 women constables who will be inducted in Cheetah Police in the city will be given special training between March 1 and March 6. Women Cheetah Police will be launched in Dehradun district on International Women’s Day on March 8.
Self defense, vehicle training, use of wireless hand set, behaviour training and others will be part of the special training programme which began on Wednesday. SSP Aggarwal and SP Rural Shweta Chowbey inspected the training at police lines on Wednesday and gave necessary instructions to the trainees to enhance their skills for completing their assigned works effectively.
Notably, Cheetah Police is a team of bike-borne policemen who rush to the spots of the incidents soon after they are reported.
