Showing his own keen interest in making a rejuvenating retreat at Yoga guru Swami Ramdev’s Yog Gram, the union Finance minister Arun Jaitley said that in the newly extended facility of Naturopathy centre, a person could get treatment from nature’s herbs living amidst nature while enjoying modern facilities. He lauded the efforts of Ramdev and Ayurveda expert Acharya Balkrishna in making a world class Naturopathy centre, Niramayam which would promote medical tourism of the state. He said very few mega food parks of the country were successful and Patanjali food park was one of these setting example for others to follow. The minister recalled the meeting he had with Ramdev and gave him credit in bringing country’s reforms namely demonetisation, promotion of plastic money and cessation of taxes.
While inaugurating Niramayam, the minister said he hoped and wished that the centre would enhance the medical tourism in the state and not only people from India but from the world would come for health benefits from the age-old science of Ayurveda and Naturopathy. He said that like many developed countries, the Yog Gram facility of Haridwar was equipped with modern facilities to give a person the benefits of health in a natural way so that there was no need of medicine and surgery. He appreciated the mind of Acharya Bal Krishna behind making a world class Niramayam and exhorted the attendees gathered on the occasion to take out time and spend it on oneself. He also played Holi with flowers with members of the gathering with rose petals.
Swami Harichetananda of Udasin Bada Akhara presented Jaitley with a turban calling him a visionary leader whose economic expertise was known across the countries. He said that not only householders but the religious fraternity was also a fan of his.
The minister said, “Twenty five per cent of India’s agricultural produce went waste on account of lack of storage facility and if the food could be processed, it would last for years. We were not successful in the attempt by making food parks in the country but Patanjali has set a record by running the facility on 100 acres of land successfully. More such food parks are needed in the country and others must emulate Patanajli food park.”
Calling Ramdev a man of vision, Jaitley said that like Mahatma Gandhi who was concerned on holistic progress of the country be it cleanliness, education or politics, Swami Ramdev is also seriously making efforts in progress of the country. “Five years ago, when I was in opposition, Swami Ramdev gave the proposal in FICCI auditorium of New Delhi for banning big currency notes to check black money, to end multiple taxes on person and reduce paper currency by going digital. We have implemented these.”
The mentor of yoga guru Swami Pradyuman was also present on the occasion.
