Dry weather on the occasion of Holi:Met

The spell of rain/ snow continuing across Uttarakhand for the past few days would continue on Sunday. However, the climate is expected to turn dry on Monday-the day Holi would be celebrated in the state.

The Met officer has forecast very light to light rain/snow at a few places, especially in the higher reaches of Uttarakhand, on Sunday. Snowfall is likely to occur at places with height 2000 metres and above.

In Dehradun, intermittent rain occurred throughout the day on Saturday. The climate was cold with the maximum temperature remaining seven notches below the normal. Besides, hail lashed some parts of Dehradun and Mussoorie.

The weather forecast for Dehradun on Sunday is partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thunder cloud development/light rain in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 20ºC and 08ºC respectively in Dehradun on Sunday.
