Lieutenant Hitesh Joshi, alumni of UPES made his Alma mater proud by leading the 144 strong marching contingent of Indian Navy at the 68th Republic Day parade of India on 26th January 2017.

Giving details of Lt Joshi the Director of Media Affairs in UPES Arun Dhand informed that Hitesh Joshi was with the University from 2012 to 2016 and completed his B. Tech in Electronics Engineering. He along with four other students of that batch was recruited from the campus by the Indian Navy in their final semester itself.  Hailing from Lucknow Hitesh is the fourth generation from his family to join the Indian Defense forces. He had joined UPES after completing his secondary education at Army Public School in Ambala Cantonment. Hitesh was an all rounder and participated in both co-curricular and extracurricular activities during his tenure in UPES.
