Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that soon more than 700 services of the state government will be available to the common man through Common Service Centre (CSC). With this, one village in each block of Uttarakhand will be made digital. State government’s effort is to provide digital services to remote areas within next one year. Our youngsters are creative, hardworking and intelligent, they only need to learn professional business skills. It is very important to have business qualities for progress. Reverse migration is being encouraged by the Common Service Centre (CSC) based on the business model by the Uttarakhand government. He announced that Haridwar is the first district in the country where all Panchayats are Wi-Fi. He encouraged CSC rural entrepreneurs from across the state during the Uttrakhand Top Transacting VLE Conference in IRDT Auditorium on Wednesday.
Currently more than 5000 Common Service Centres are active in Uttarakhand. In the state, 9622 CSCs are registered, out of which 7619 is in rural area and around two thousand are in urban area. Till now, 233044 beneficiaries have been registered in the State, out of which 100412 beneficiaries are certified. It is a matter of happiness that in the adverse geographical conditions of Uttarakhand, work is being done to overcome the adversities through IT. He said that the way the Common Service Centre (CSC) working in the state shows that Uttarakhand is fast moving forward in the field of IT. The effort of Uttarakhand Government is to provide WiFi services in the entire state as soon as possible.
State Government has made such policy changes, so that the services can be made available to the common man through technology in the remote areas. Due to the fact that 71 per cent of the state is under forest cover, various types of environmental approvals are required. Due to policy changes made by the state government, things will definitely speed up in this direction. If our villages are digitally strong, the villagers will get the benefit of maximum government services and schemes. Last year, the state government introduced tele-radiology and telemedicine. 35 main hospitals, especially in remote areas, have been linked to telemedicine and tele-radiology. Today, through technology, the benefits of the services of health experts from the country and abroad are being reaching to our remote villagers. 40 out of 70 health centres in Tehri district have been linked to Telemedicine at a cost of just Rs 46 lakhs. Through technology and internet only, Uttarakhand government has also been successful in providing quality health and education services in remote villages like Ghes, Himni and Pipalkoti.
He said that human resources of Uttarakhand are creative, hardworking and intelligent, in which only business qualities need to be developed. Our young people need to develop professional skills. He said that it is a matter of great pleasure that in our remote areas, our Common Service Centre are doing excellent work. In these remote areas, people are earning good through CSC. Call Centres can be opened at places such as Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh in coming time. On the basis of local resources, the Uttarakhand government is working on the concept of growth centre development to strengthen the local economy in open more and more doors for employment opportunities for the locals.
He also honoured three best women entrepreneurs of state and five beneficiaries who availed benefit through digital literacy. On this occasion, an MoU was signed for providing more than 250 services of the state government through the Common Service Centre.
