Delhi could turn into gas chamber in next 10 days; warning issued

From November the air quality in the capital is expected to become very poisonous in the capital Delhi. After Diwali, the situation is likely to remain bad. The Delhi Pollution Control Board has said that this will happen due to poor weather and the speed of air being very low.

According to Pollution Control Board, winds from Punjab and Haryana will reach Delhi. In such a situation, the smoke rising from the burning crop stubble will increase the smoke and trouble. The board has feared that the weather will be bad between November 1 and 10. Especially the wind’s stance will be something that can make Delhi a gas chamber.

This is the reason why the Central Pollution Control Board has ordered the Environmental Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority for NCR to adhere strictly to certain things in Delhi within 10 days of Diwali-

– Every work except the electric work in construction activity that produces pollution to be banned.

– The coal-based and thermal power plants have also been advised to close.

– Use more and more public transport.

– Traffic police to check polluting cars.

CPCB has sent these suggestions to EPCA. CPB member member Prashant Gagrav told that the air quality status was reviewed that considering the bad weather in the coming days and considering the figures for the last two years, the decision was taken on that basis.

Every year the air gets very bad in the winter. To deal with this, the CPCB has formed 41 teams this year, while the Delhi Government is also on alert. The graded action plan has already been implemented to deal with pollution.
